San Miguel de Cabo de Gata.

<italiano>

San Miguel, which has a population of just over 1,500 inhabitants, is located in the province of Almeria and is part of the Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park.

It is in a beautiful and interesting area: a beach more than two kilometers long, usually not very busy, the salt flats, the Cabo de Gata lighthouse.

The whole area has been used in many films. The village can be seen in I Tre Spietati, directed by Joaquin Luis Romero Marchent in 1964; Quien Sabe, directed by Damiano Damiani in 1966 and, finally, Four Rode Out, a 1969 US-Spanish co-production directed by John Preyser.

In the sequences of these films you can see the hamlet very well, a very beautiful ancient village, all white as is typical of this area, right by the sea. Unfortunately, the original village is almost completely unrecognizable today. The only parts that have survived are the church and the defensive tower located on the beach.
